Job Description:

A company whose core business revolves around laser cutting, they have four laser cutting machines that operate 24 hours 6 to 7 days week. They
cut max 25mm mild steel, 20mm stainless steel and 12mm aluminium.

They also offer a variety of secondary operations to laser cut parts, such as bending, folding, welding and powder coating all on site and under control. In essence they can provide a service to customers where by they can supply small quantities of simple laser cut flat parts to scheduled deliveries of fabricated powder coated products.

The person:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Sales Engineer to join a fast paced sales orientated sub-contract manufacturing company. Reporting to the External Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the performance of your area against targets, offering the companies laser cutting and fabrications services. As well as servicing a number of existing clients, including blue chip manufacturing, you will be targeted and focused on new business generation. You will be targeted on maximising profit, not just turnover.

You will be comfortable at selling a service and have an understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. Experience in laser cutting and/or fabrication will be a distinct advantage.

You will be based from home working with an internal sales engineer who will be based at the companies offices in Bradford, West Yorkshire. You will have the ability to make quality appointments with clients, discover opportunities for quoting, work with internal to prepare a quotation, follow up and close the quote into an order. The areas covered are detailed below, and knowledge of these areas would be a distinct advantage.

Spending the majority of the day in the field, you will be meeting four to five clients per day, discussing in depth requirements. Regular sales meetings will be held and the candidate will be comfortable at making presentations etc.

You must have an understanding of clients engineering requirements and portray the company in a professional and confident manner. A knowledge of reading engineering drawings and have some CAD preffered.

Additionally, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, (communications, telephone, email, liaising with customers etc). Assertiveness, self motivation, IT literate and a dedicated individual is required. A can do attitude is a must as well as a genuine desire to succeed. Excellent promotional opportunities in an expanding business.

Evidence of a successful sales skills will need to be demonstrated. Past attendance to sales courses is advantageous but sales training is available for the correct individual.

The candidate will be offered an excellent remuneration package including a salary between 18k to 25k ,an uncapped bonus scheme is in operation for hitting target, entry into companys pension scheme and 25 days annual leave. Private healthcare is offered at a latter date. Office hours are 8am to 4pm but externals will work hours to suit the role.

A fully expensed company car is offered, currently Vauxhall Astra, laptop, company phone, fax machine, printer, expense account is part of the package.

Full training is provided to the successful candidate, including 2 weeks min in-house shopfloor training along with office based training. In field training is also part of the training package.

1. First interview: Based in Bradford with External Sales Manager and an Internal Sales Engineer.
2. Second Interview: Bradford with ESM, Sales & Marketing Manger, General Manager and Internal Sales Engineer. Required to present a PPP via laptop.
